What I learned from reading books
Lately this 100 books a year gimmick is on heat. And I personally find it useless, it just like studying a night before exam and forgetting it all the next day. It only wastes your time and some little precious Brian cells.
Why do I think that? And what I actually learned from reading books.
1. Change of point of view through VR
Reading book is actually a fascinating experience, it is far more impactful than a movie for when you see something happening, you can change just say “I can see that man dying with grave expressions”
But with reading you can actually feel the pain if only the book is written well and if you get comfortable with that view you would ultimately start to experience it in the regular daily life.
As per the non fiction teaches you a lot, in fact I find them quite helpful and revolutionary, have you ever seen those super productive YouTubers from Harvard or Cambridge. Well at some extent they get those ideas and way of thinking from non fiction books because I have myself found the same tips they give while reading a book.
2. More focused
This is the most expected results reading around 30 pages and to 50 pages a day can increase your focus and calm your nerves although only when it comes on your habit at the beginning it will make you anxious as hell and you don’ t want that.
You will be performing better in daily tasks conversing better than before and you will accomplishing the daily tasks more efficiently only by reading for an hour each day
3.) New solution every day.
Okay it is something that I am most grateful for, it changes the way you think, just because you go through around 300 pages approx of intellectuals brain you basically learn to think, you not only learn the solutions you also learn how that proff approached a problem and came with the most efficiently solution.
Nowadays when I walk in my room, or an examination I take a deep breath to get comfortable with the new environment and to bring oxygen to my brain , then I scan the surrounding while refreshing the concepts in my brain.
This a change I noticing after reading , I was doing all that unconsciously.
